Gifting Season: What the Research Says About Branded Gifts

Gifting season is here. Christmas is a good opportunity to thank the clients, customers and teams who have been part of the year — and the gift you choose can shape the impression you leave. Working with recognised brands can add another layer to the gift and help create a stronger first impression.

Alongside names such as Bodum, Cross and Titleist, we can also collaborate with brands including Nakie, Stormtech and other retail, lifestyle and outdoor labels to build a gifting range around the recipient, the occasion and your budget.

The Brands Lookbook is a useful starting point for ideas, but it is not the limit of what can be sourced. We can bring together products from different suppliers and brands, then add your own branding, packaging or presentation to create a more complete gift.

The product should lead the decision. Once the right piece has been selected, a clean engraving, subtle embroidery or considered gift box can connect it back to your business without overpowering what made the product appealing in the first place.

Quality Matters

A good gift should feel considered from the moment it is opened. The materials, finish and presentation all influence the impression it leaves — and whether the product goes on to be remembered, talked about or kept in regular rotation.

That connection is reflected in the APPA research below. The figures show how a well-selected promotional product can influence purchasing, recommendation and long-term brand recognition. It is another reason to start with the recipient and the quality of the product, rather than making the logo the main feature.

77% went on to purchase from the brand after receiving a promotional product.
84% talked about or recommended the brand to someone else.
86% said usefulness was the number one factor in whether they kept and used a branded item.
